Handmade items

At our inn, we grow and harvest things all year round.
We provide our guests with safe ingredients and delicious, homemade food.
We work hard every day to make our guests happy.
We make pickled radishes, pickled takuan (pickled radishes), kimchi, etc.
We also make a lot of Nozawana pickles, a representative variety of Shinshu.
We pickle more than 10 types of pickles a year, such as Kyu-chan, eggplant, Fukushin, and Chinese cabbage in beer, and we also offer all-you-can-eat events in the winter.
It takes a lot of work, but it is very popular with customers.

Spring is a treasure trove of wild vegetables. Butterbur shoots are made into butterbur miso, and butterbur is processed into yam and yam. Ferns are made into mustard soy sauce, and koshiabura and obayukisasa are made into tempura.
And then there's the king of wild vegetables, the curved bamboo shoot.
It's in season for only about 10 days from mid-June.
The bamboo grove is so intricate that it's difficult to take even one step. People crawl on the ground and pick the bamboo shoots one by one.
It's very tiring, and sometimes you might even encounter bears...
But they still pick them because this mountain delicacy is delicious.
Locally, the best way to eat them is in bamboo shoot soup. Grilled bamboo shoots are also a popular delicacy.

We make apple jam using apples that are representative of Shinshu.
We make about six types of jam throughout the year, including blueberry jam from blueberries in the fields and apricot jam during apricot season.
In plum season we also process homemade plum wine and pickled plums.

Whimsical Dessert
When I have time, I also make homemade cakes.
Shinshu is a treasure trove of fruit. In apple season, we make apple pies.
In blueberry season, we make tarts, jellies, puddings, and more.
In chestnut season, we make Mont Blanc. Of course, the chestnuts are also homemade and boiled in Shibukawa.
Please come and try our various homemade foods.
